We all love a dark denim jean, they always help elevate your outfit and make you look edgy. However, keeping them dark and still looking new can be such a hassle. Here are some tips on how to keep your dark denim from fading.
1. Setting the dye before washing a pair of jeans can help lock in the colour. You do this by soaking your jeans in a bathtub or bucket, then adding cold water with a cup of vinegar and a tablespoon of salt.
2. Wash your jeans less frequently, especially if you are using a washing machine to wash them. Spot clean any marks on your jean and then only wash your jeans entirely for roughly every 4 weeks.
3. Wash your dark denim with other dark colours, the same way you’d wash all your white items together. Washing your dark denims with similar colours can help keep it from fading.
While you can’t completely stop your dark denims from fading, these tips can help keep your denim still looking dark and helps you avoid replacing your jeans regularly which can be quite expensive and wasteful.
