Eco-chic Sustainability in Africa

Last year, our founder Jessica Ramoshaba, had the honor of moderating a dynamic conversation on sustainable fashion in Africa. The panel featured four incredible women: Zimbabwean fashion designer Danayi Madondo, Nigerian designer Alia Bare, who is based in Senegal, as well as South Africa’s Safiyya Karim and Zubeida Zwavel from Cares Africa. Together, we explored the future of sustainable fashion on the continent, sharing insights on innovation, cultural influence, and the role of ethical practices in shaping Africa’s fashion landscape.

The conversation explored different challenges that face Africa currently. One of the interesting aspects was the role consumer behavior plays and what we can do to influence it.
